Neville Hill's finest on parade, to commemorate the retirement of the InterCity 125 fleet from the Midland Main Line, the staff at Neville Hill depot in Leeds repainted 43102 into Intercity swallow livery.br/ br/ Here the record holder heads 1D43 the 14:34 London St Pancras to Nottingham at Loughborough.br/ br/43102 (along with 43159) holds the world speed record for a diesel traction locomotive, having reached a top speed of 148.5mph during a test run in November 1987. Due to the significance of this achievement, this powercar has been saved for preservation at the National Railway Museum upon its retirement.
